Virologica Sinica offers a fast track publication service to manuscripts that report urgent and competitive research with critical importance. To shorten the time from submission to publication, the peer review will be started immediately after submission and the review process can be completed within 1-2 weeks.

Criteria

Virologica Sinica welcomes the following types of submission, and will consider their potential for fast track publication.  Please send a pre-submission email to the Editorial Office (editorial@virosin.org) before submitting your paper to the Fast Track Publication.

　● Manuscripts just rejected from well-known journals (such as Science series, Nature series, Cell series, PNAS, etc).
　● Manuscripts withdrawing from the revision process of other prestigious journals in the field of virology (e.g. J Virol, Plos Pathgens, mBio, etc).
　● Manuscripts reporting significant but competitive researches, strongly recommended by at least one VS editorial board member or world-recognized expert.

To expedite manuscript handling and review, the pre-submission inquiry MUST contain: the manuscript accompanied with the reviews from the previous journals, point-by-point responses to these comments, or the recommendation letter.

When ‘Fast Track Publication’ is approved by Virologica Sinica, manuscripts previously considered by other journals can be uploaded to our online submission system (https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/vs). Reformatting will be required after the paper is accepted for publication.
